high temperature flue gas air preheater - RAGALUVO
To increase efficiency, the exhaust gases from a MgO calcination furnace are to be used to heat fresh air (combustion air for the furnace). Specifically, the discharge is to be taken after the recuperator upstream of the product filter, cooled via a high-temperature RAGALUVO and only then fed to the product filter. The existing skendary cyclone will be eliminated in the process. The waste heat released is to be used to reheat the fresh air already preheated in the existing LUVO.
Basic details:
- Completely made of heat-resistant stainless steel 1.4828
- Shell and tube heat exchanger with vertical heat exchanger tubes made of stainless steel 1.4828

Other aspects were taken into account in the design, including the following:
- 20 % volume flow reserve
- Temerature resistant, robust material
- Dust-containing flue gas (flue gas flows in vertical WT pipes from top to bottom)
- MgO-dust should be discharged downwards
- Not too high pressure drop
- Possibility of cleaning
- Operability
- Bypass option
