Saturated flue gases from the wet flue gas cleaning system of a hazardous waste incinerator must be reheated before entering the activated carbon filter. The solution is a two-stage heat exchanger from HEGER. The existing heat exchanger made of stainless steel 1.4435 became defective after eight years of operation and was replaced by a new heat exchanger made of more corrosion-resisant material.
